Soft yarn

The temperature has dropped immensely the past few days here in Portland. It is no longer suffocatingly hot but a bit chilly. It's over cast you see. I'm wearing a short light cardigan to work today as I know without it, I would start getting the sniffles. I have yet to take a photograph of my new favourite cardigan, it's my donut cardi. I love it.

With the weather cooling down for a while, here are two things on my keep warmer list:

A detailed stitched light sweater from Silent and Noise

An ever so soft lilac wrist warmer from Nitca

It has been very busy at work this week and guess what, I got a raise! How lucky am I in this troubling economy, my boss thought I have done quite well this past year. Actually, I feel like I've slacked off a bit since the better first part of the year, I had no project to call my own and I felt like I was not responsible for anything. Now, I'm up and running again and it is great not to sit at work and think gosh, only 4 hours to go. I still have that feeling sometimes especially when Muntedkowhai is strong on the back burner. I always wonder what it would be like to devote all my time to Muntedkowhai but the anticipated stress of no income is too scary for me right now. Also, despite complaining about it at times, I do like the contrast of science and art and it does a right balance for me.
