I started reading Tess of The D'Urvervilles because of the 2 part TV series that aired the past two weeks. I've always adored the feminine details of period movie costumes but one thing that Tess was wearing stood out in particular. It wasn't fancy but could translate into 2010 so easily, especially for the upcoming fall! Here is the next project for myself after the blanket:
The criss cross cover that wraps around into the back. I'm not sure how it secures in the back but judging from the series, it looks like it is akin to a big thick scarf and probably pinned in the back as it gets loose sometimes. This would look great with jeans and a pair of boots, perfect for autumn.
