Lately

I've been a bit MIA here. We're still settling into our new place and with it, finding faults along the way! On Friday, Melbourne received a hell of a rain and wind bashing, possible as a side effect from Cyclone Yasi. Anyways, a goober (me), left all the windows opened in the apartment before going to work and after we walked 2 hours in the rain to get home (no trams or trains were running!), we found our bed soaked, our guest room leaking from the ceiling and the carpet drenched. Not fun. Managed the dry the bed with the help of a fan forced heater but the guest room needs a looking into.
I've just finished unpacking and our next thing that we need to do is, bring out all the boxes for recycling. Things like this could take up to weeks to do but I'm determined to nip it in the butt.

So this Sunday, we spent the entire day at home and got everything we wanted done. I even made some Vietnamese rice paper rolls. Think shrimp, carrots, cilantro, lettuce and vermicelli noodles with a spicy sweet peanuty sauce.

Sorry to hear about the rain damage. I'm sure it will dry out soon.
