Last night, I had my first go at Dana's custom order by incorporating her family jade into the Frederick Oyster design. I tried incorporating with just the nylon cord and I could thread into the top hole but since it was too small, I could only do it once which left it quite fragile. So I tried putting a jump ring through it and then crochet the jump ring to hide the appearence of the brass. This also strengthens the attachment. My biggest fear that it will come off but I think as long as Dana is not bungee jumping with it, she'll be fine. I'm actually digging the milky green translucent colour with the oyster coloured cords. It's very refreshing!

Also, I was blog hopping (rather than bar hopping, I'm old!) and saw this:

A necklace made by Sofia from Paris, France. I love simple femininity and I also adore the wooden background with scratches on it. It's perfect. Everything is gorgeous in her Etsy store! Go over and check it out if you need a bit of vintage romance this Friday.
It's a 3 hour ride up to Seattle and I've packed my new nylon cords so I can take advantage of the "me" time while someone else is driving!!!

Thanks for your very sweet comment on my blog, dear!
Mila.
love your work, your necklaces are beautiful. Thank you for the wonderful words about my necklace :)
Pretty necklaces!!!
I just wandered over from A Bucketful of Heather (blog hopping myself) and am loving your necklaces! Also, I was really interested to read the post on your protein experiment - it's a world soooooo far removed from my own and therefore fascinating. Apart from the obvious significance of it working for you, which is great, I had no idea proteins could look so beautiful! :)
