When you have only two pennies left in the world, buy a loaf of bread with one, and a lily with the other.

It has been utterly insanely busy over here. Aaron leaves for NZ this Sunday and work is as busy as ever. I've gotten the hang of the car now, my confidence is not as shaky but I won't be venturing too far from home!

The following months Aaron-free would be good for a project my Mum and I are working on. I will feel less guilty being holed up in my craft room with Aaron in Dunedin. I will miss his delicious dinners and desserts!

Despite it being cold here in Melbourne, we've shifted most of our plants to different rooms where they get more winter sun. I've started propagating plants for my wedding, a nice advantage for having a longer than usual engagement.

Dark purple tulips we bought from a lovely market nearby. The colours are so mesmerising. I should remember to buy more fresh cut flowers for the following saying is so true:
When you have only two pennies left in the world, buy a loaf of bread with one, and a lily with the other.
Aaron has repotted his carnivorous plants into a cheap glass salad bowl.

The staghorn is seeking refuge from the winter sun in the bathroom. You can see a bit of sun burnt on the yellow leaf.
Small new succulents from the farmers market
These radishes has taken their time but they're nearly finished growing.

The green house is delicously warm.

Mum and UJ bought Aaron and I these lovely hand cut and painted animals.
Yet to hang them up. You know how it goes.... two years later.

And as of late, we're planning our honeymoon as well.
We are thinking Spain, Portugal and South of France.
To get in the mood, I've been Airbnb shopping:

Which month for your honeymoon? Let us know if you'd like any tips! Southern Italy was lovely, but so much walking as there is a lot to visit.

Hey Char, it is still up in the air. We are thinking June or something like that.... stinking hot weather I know....
Will love to get advice for Spain and Portugal if you have any. Not that attracted to France or Italy.

I think you would love Barcelona, however it is seriously hot in June particularly late June. Beautiful for the tapas, Gaudi and street life. Also more reasonably priced for Europe. Dave always says Seville and Granada are lovely. He's been to Lisbon, but didn't have much to say about it compared to Spain!
